土偶をモチーフにしました「永遠のアイドル」、人をあしらった土器をモチーフに制作した「久遠」は、山梨県立美術館の推薦により、アーティスト、桑嶋維は史上初の視覚芸術分野で大木記念美術作家助成基金受賞しました。これらの作品は、ニコル・クーリジ・ルーマニエール（セインズベリー日本藝術研究所所長・東京大学客員教授）の推薦により、大英博物館での「土偶展」（Curators：Dr Andrew Cochrane,Tim Clark）、セインズベリーセンターフォービジュアルアーツ（Curators：Professor Douglass Bailey (San Francisco State University), Dr Andrew Cochrane (University of East Anglia) and Dr Simon Kaner (Sainsbury Institute for the Study of Japanese Arts and Cultures)/イースト　アングリア大学）での「アンアースド（UNEARTHED）展」に招聘され、「アンアースド（UNEARTHED）展」では展示、講演を行うなど、世界的な高い評価を受けています。「永遠のアイドル」では、唯一、土偶に残った「色」、しかも、「瞳の色」をコアモチーフとした作品で、その「色」を見事に美しくコロタイプで再現されており、その他の同作品を合わせた多数の作品の一挙展示発表（国内初）を２０２３年４月から６月の期間、京都　便利堂　コロタイプギャラリーに展示発表されていた作品となります。

エディションは１２組（２作品１組）のみとなります。

The work consists of two pieces.

1: Eternal Idol of the Southern Alps: Whole body (monochrome)

2: Eternal Idol of the Southern Alps: Eyes (color)

The artist was recommended by the Yamanashi Prefectural Museum of Art for "The Eternal Idol," a motif of clay figures, and "The Eternity," a motif of earthenware decorated with human figures, which was awarded the first ever Oki Memorial Artist Grant in the field of visual arts to artist TSUNAKI Kuwashima. These works were recommended by Nicole Courrige Roumaniere (Director of the Sainsbury Institute for the Study of Japanese Arts and Visiting Professor at the University of Tokyo) for the "DOGU(Clay Figure)" exhibition at the British Museum (Curators: Dr Andrew Cochrane and Tim Clark) and the Sainsbury Center for Visual Arts ( Curators: Professor Douglass Bailey (San Francisco State University), Dr Andrew Cochrane (University of East Anglia) and Dr Simon Kaner (Sainsbury Institute for the Study of Japanese Arts and Cultures)/University of East Anglia), and has exhibited and lectured at the "UNEARTHED" exhibition. The "The Eternal Idol" is the only exhibition in which the artist has exhibited his work. "The Eternal Idol" is the only work in which the "color" remaining in the clay figurine, and moreover, the "color of the eyes" is the core motif, and the "color" has been beautifully reproduced in collotype prints. The works were exhibited and presented at the Kyoto BENRIDO Collotype Gallery from April to June 2023.

Editions will be limited to 12 pairs (two works per pair).
